Tips to become Imovie Editormaster

iMovie for  mac can be frightening to the unprofessional iPhone videographer. For a consumer-grade video editor, the MacOS app is fairly complex. Here are some tips and tricks to start you on the road to becoming an iMovie master.

 1. Crop to Zoom in
Your iPhone can capture video at a resolution of 720p, 1080p or 4K, so you've got pixels to spare if you are creating a movie to share online. If you've got a clip that you wish you had zoomed in on when recording, all is not lost. Download imovie online is the best option for this purpose which helps to zoom in on a portion of the frame.

You can highlight the clip in your timeline  and click on the crop button above the preview window. Select Crop to Fill or Ken Burns and drag to select the portion of the clip in the preview window that you want to crop. Click the check mark button in the top right to apply your changes.


2. Add photos with Ken Burns effect
To add a photo, click Photo Library in the Libraries section along the left edge and then drags photos to the timeline as you would a video clip.You can add photos to your movie to break up the video clips, which can make the proceedings a bit more interesting. By default, you have 4 seconds along with the Ken Burns Treatment. You can change the duration of the photo by clicking on one of its edges in the timeline and sliding it. You can use imovie editor for the best results.

3. Split Clip
If you have got long clip you might lose your audience due to its duration. You can split the clip into multiple clips and trim out the parts you don't want. To split a clip, just right-click the point in the clip on the timeline where you want to split it and choose Split Clip.

4. Detach Audio
You can also detach audio clips from the video clip. You can keep the audio going and splits a clip and insert a photo montage. You can detach audio from a clip, just right-click the clip in the timeline and choose Detach Audio.

5.  Add a soundtrack
You can liven up the action by adding a soundtrack to your movie. Click the Audio header on the left and you can choose a song you purchased on iTunes or one you created in Garage Band.
